Dignity Foundation operates loneliness mitigation centres in urban slum areas to identify and provide support and care to senior citizens who are neglected or uncared for by their family members. Our centres reinforce positivity, productivity and purity of thought and action. Our centres attract many eligible elderly men and women, who self-report an improvement in their mental and/or physical health within 6 months of regularly attending the programme. Services provided to the elderly members include daily nutritious drink, daily productive ageing sessions, monthly health check-up, counselling session (thrice a month), quarterly special health camp (eye, oral, ortho) and annual picnic.
